The successful candidate will take on a 9-month maternity leave position and provide high level administrative support to the Director of Community Engagement and assistance to the Community Engagement office. This is a high activity role with important responsibilities interacting with the School Community Alumni groups Parent groups Senior Leadership Team and external organisations. Your professionalism ability to form engaging relationships and your friendly and consultative approach will be the foundations for success in this position.
Main responsibilities:
- Efficient running of the office of the Director of Community Engagement.
- Accurate diary management including the scheduling and planning of meetings and travel.
- Managing communication and correspondence for the office of the Director of Community Engagement.
- Maintenance and management of the Development database and other records repositories including effectively reviewing and assisting with reports for fundraising alumnae and communications.
- Effective support and assistance to the various events and activities of the Community Engagement calendar including correspondence and newsletters.
- Initial point of contact and engagement with external and internal stakeholders of community engagement matters including alumni parents and staff.
The ideal candidate has experience working in a similar role in a community-based organisation that interfaces with a range of internal and external stakeholders. Your nature will be friendly and inviting someone that people will want to make contact with and engage with and most importantly enjoy a friendly chat and a laugh. No two days are the same and the diverse streams within the community engagement team require you to be highly organised and able to shift focus and priorities as required and directed. Your strong ICT skills and ability to troubleshoot make considered decisions and have the confidence to ask questions and approach others for information are skills that are required for this position.
