About the Role

CSS Wind a division of the CSS Industrial Group of Companies is currently hiring experienced Rope Access Blade Repair Technicians to support wind energy projects across Canada. This role involves performing inspections and composite repairs on wind turbine blades using rope access techniques.

This is a travel-intensive position requiring flexibility and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform Category 15 blade repairs independently
• Conduct internal and external blade inspections and defect analysis
• Repair fiberglass and composite components (blades nacelles hub/nose cones)
• Complete time tracking via Daily Work Report (DWR) and submit detailed repair documentation to Operations Manager & Engineering
  
• Train and mentor junior technicians (Level 1 & 2)
• Follow all safety procedures policies and regulatory requirements

About You

Required Certifications:

• IRATA 3 or SPRAT Rope Access Certification
• Full GWO Certification (BST ART BTT)

Additional Certifications (preferred or required depending on project):

• Arc Flash / NFPA 70E
• Confined Space & Rescue
• WHMIS
• Respirator Fit Testing
• Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)

Experience & Skills:

• Experience in blade repair composites or similar mechanical work
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Comfortable working at heights and in varying weather conditions
• Team player with good communication

Additional Requirements

• Valid drivers licence with a satisfactory record
• Ability to pass a background check
• Ability to travel extensively across Canada
• Physically capable of performing job duties
