2026 Canon Insights Summer Internship
Canon U. S. A. Inc. is currently hiring for our 2026 Canon Insights Internship Program. The program
will be held from Monday June 1 2026 - Wednesday August 5 2026.
Canon is an innovative global digital imaging leader that uses technology to dissolve the barriers we face in the connections we build the experiences we create and even the lives we live. We are looking for passionate and experienced students to join the Canon USA team. This is a paid summer 10-12 week internship for a robust experience based in our Irvine CA.
What Youll Do:
- You will have the opportunity to gain hands-on work experience by participating in significant work projects that help you learn develop business skills and provide a meaningful contribution to Canons business and goals.
- You will be exposed to world-class teams and our business marketing and strategy initiatives through training meetings presentations and other planned activities.
- Youll gain marketable skills and knowledge that youll need in transitioning into the workforce.
- Youll come to the office 3 days a week and 2 days with the option to work from home (unless a specific business need arises requiring in-office attendance on other days). This position offers a hybrid work schedule on full-time (9 AM 5 PM) schedule based on a 35-hour work week. Note that work schedules and office reporting requirements may change from time to time based on business needs.

The 2026 Canon Insights Summer Internship Intern will be responsible for the following:
We are seeking a highly drivenQA Automation Engineer Internwith a strong technical foundation and a passion forAIenhanced automation software testing frameworks and quality engineering. This role is ideal for a current college student who wants handson experience building scalable automation developing test frameworks and leveraging AI tools to accelerate analysis debugging and test development.
- Assist in designing building and executingAIaugmented automated test suitesacross both UI and API layers.
- Leverage AI tools (Copilot ChatGPT Gemini etc.) togenerate test cases improve automation logic create test data and analyze failures.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and lightweight frameworks usingSelenium Playwright and REST API tools such asPostmanorReadyAPI.
- Participate in SDETfocused activities such asframework enhancements reusable utilities modular test design and code reviews.
- Assist in debugging by reviewingapplication logs stack traces and AIgenerated insightsto identify root causes.
- Collaborate with QA Dev and DevOps teams toexpand automation coverage integrate suites into CI/CD pipelines and improve regression reliability.

About You: The Skills & Expertise You Bring
An enrolled undergraduate student who is currently a junior and entering their senior year as of Summer 2026 pursuing a Bachelors degree aligned with the department of interest. A strong communicatorboth written and verbalwith advanced proficiency in Google Workspace (Sheets Docs Slides Chat Calendar and Drive). Brings the ability to thrive as a collaborative team player while also working independently with confidence and enthusiasm.
- Current student majoring inComputer Science Engineering or related technical field.
- Basic programming skills inPython Java or JavaScript with an interest in software engineering practices.
- Familiarity with UI automation frameworks (Selenium Cypress Playwright) andREST API concepts.
- Comfort using AI tools toaccelerate scripting defect triage code generation and test planning.
- Strong analytical thinking willingness to learn deeper SDET skills (framework design coding best practices) and a high attention to detail.
We are providing the anticipated rate for this role: $25.00 - $35.00 hourly.
