Job Summary
SUMMARY
The Cycle Counter/Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records through daily cycle counting physical verification and transaction review. This role supports warehouse and production operations by ensuring inventory accuracy identifying discrepancies and assisting with corrective actions.
This is an entry-level position designed to build foundational knowledge in inventory control within a manufacturing environment.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform daily cycle counts of raw materials work-in-process (WIP) and finished goods inventory.
- Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies in coordination with warehouse and production personnel.
- Accurately enter inventory adjustments into the ERP system following established procedures.
- Assist with physical inventory counts including preparation execution and reconciliation.
- Verify inventory locations part numbers and quantities for accuracy.
- Maintain organized documentation of cycle count results and adjustments.
- Communicate inventory variances and recurring issues to supervisor.
- Support warehouse organization and inventory control initiatives to improve accuracy.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in identifying root causes of inventory discrepancies.
- Follow established inventory control policies and procedures.
- Participate in process improvement activities related to inventory accuracy.
- Maintain regular and consistent job attendance and be prompt to meetings and assignments.
- Perform other duties as assigned consistent with the nature of the role.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous warehouse manufacturing or inventory experience preferred but not required.
- Basic computer skills; experience with Microsoft Excel preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with numbers accurately.
- Ability to follow procedures and work independently.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
