Today CPC is the nations largest Asian American social services agency and offers more than 50 programs at over 35 sites throughout New York City including early childhood education school-age care youth services workforce development community services and senior services. CPC strives to be the premier social service and leadership development 2017 CPC launched Advancing OurCommUNITY its organization-wide strategy to expand services to address persistent needs and emerging trends and to improve leadership skills among staff and community members.

JOB SUMMARY

CPCQueens Community Services(QCS)isseekinga highly motivated detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills to join position willprovideduties to supportprogram rolloutin a multi-social service position willinvolve administrativeworksupportingQCS programsbyplayingan integral role inorganizingandmaintainingoffice to theQCSDeputyDirector theQCSProgramsCoordinatoris responsibleforassistingprogram administrative tasks daily operations andotherprogram support when projects willbe part oftheprogramsupport work such asthe annualAAPI Heritage fund raising benefitand othercommunity-wide events.

ESSENTIALRESPONSIBILITIES

  • AssistQCS Director andDeputyDirector in preppingprogramreports fundingreportsand other administrativeprocedures (ie: yellow forms payment requestsreimbursements spending trackingetc.)

  • Attend and take minutes for internal meetings

  • Provide general administrative support throughoutQCSincluding data entry compiling distribution materials and mailings

  • Supporting CPC at internal and external events (ie: staff appreciations tabling at resource fairs press conferences rallies)

  • Otherduties as assigned



Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in social science/ related field preferred.

  • Experience working in and with immigrant communities

Skillsand Competencies:

  • BilingualinEnglish and Chinese - Mandarin and/or Cantonese(preferred)

  • Strong work ethic anddemonstratedpassion for working with diverse populations

  • Excellent writing interpersonal analytical and decision-making skills

  • Attention to detail and the ability to balance multiple projects and deadlines in an organized way

  • Effectively works with internalstaffacross departments and divisionsanddemonstrateability to work efficiently in a team

  • Ability to plan and prioritize effectively

  • Proficiencyin Microsoft Office Suite and related platforms.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS OVERVIEW

  • $27.47 to $30.22per hour (equivalent annual salary $);35 hours per week
