Accounts Payable Assistant
Job Summary
Orka Financial is working with a well-established business based in Basingstoke who are looking to hire an Accounts Payable Assistant to join their fast-growing finance team. You will be reporting to the Finance Manager and working within a busy accounting department.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Accounts Payable Assistant who has previous experience supporting the AP function dealing with suppliers on a daily basis assisting with month-end processes and managing day-to-day accounts payable queries.

Responsibilities
- Processing multi-currency purchase invoices
- Month end journals - prepayments
- Intercompany reconciliations
- Monitoring the AP mailbox
- Carrying out monthly supplier statement reconciliations and following up on any queries
- Dealing with telephone and email supplier queries
- Checking and processing expenses
- Assisting with VAT return completion
- Must have previous experience within an Accounts Payable role
- Experience processing multi-currency transactions is essential
- Strong knowledge of the Accounts Payable function
- Good IT skills including Word and Excel
- Highlycustomer-focused with strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with suppliers
