Job Summary
Overview
Excellent opportunity for an experienced full time CNC Programmer to join the Selux team responsible for building high end architectural light fixtures. Monday - Thursday 6am-4:30pm OT available. Paid time off paid holidays and full benefits.
Salary: $25 - 40/hr
Qualifications
- Proven experience in CNC programming for plasma cutters milling machines and press brakes.
- Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g. AutoCAD SolidWorks Mastercam or similar).
- Strong understanding of G-code and machine-specific programming languages.
- Experience with 4-axis milling and multi-axis setups.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of material properties metal fabrication and machining processes.
- Knowledge of machine maintenance and operation; working with gauges/calipers
- Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Team oriented and self directed

Responsibilities
- Interpret blueprints CAD files and engineering drawings to create accurate CNC programs.
- Perform proper set-up and calibration procedures for all equipment and accessories to be used on projects
- Write edit and optimize CNC programs for:
- Hypertherm plasma cutting systems
- Kitamura 4-axis milling machines
- Traditional turret punches and press brakes
- Set up machines verify tool paths and conduct trial runs to ensure parts meet Selux quality standards.
- Troubleshoot programming and machining issues to maintain production efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineers production supervisors and machinists to optimize processes and reduce waste.
- Maintain accurate documentation of programs machine setups and revisions.
- Recommend improvements in programming methods tooling and machining strategies.
- Carry out production inspection and machine operation duties
- Effectively monitor production equipment
- Perform appropriate duties as assigned by management
- Ensure that every machine procedure is done in accordance with the guidelines
- Practice and follow safety protocols
