Compensation:
- Pay Rate: $40 $43/hour (based on experience)
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1400 $1500
Schedule:
- Shift: Day Shift (8:00 AM 4:30 PM)

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) / Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) to support oncology program development and accreditation initiatives in an acute care setting. This remote role focuses on tumor registry functions data abstraction and compliance with national accreditation standards.
Responsibilities:
Tumor Registry & Data Management:
- Perform tumor data abstraction and registry functions in compliance with standards
- Maintain accurate and timely oncology data and documentation
- Utilize knowledge of medical terminology anatomy and physiology in data reporting
Program Development & Accreditation:
- Lead and support development evaluation and implementation of oncology program initiatives
- Facilitate compliance with accreditation standards including breast program certifications
- Prepare documentation such as policies protocols and required accreditation materials
- Support survey readiness and assist during accreditation site visits
Coordination & Collaboration:
- Collaborate with physicians leadership and multidisciplinary teams
- Coordinate meetings including scheduling documentation and follow-ups
- Prepare reports and present data during committee meetings
- Maintain organized records of meetings minutes and program documentation
Quality & Process Improvement:
- Support value-based care and performance improvement initiatives
- Analyze data quality metrics and outcomes to enhance program performance
- Assist in implementing corrective action plans and process improvements
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of tumor registry experience in an acute care setting or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology anatomy and physiology
- Experience with oncology accreditation standards and program development
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Certifications & Licensure:
- CTR (Certified Tumor Registrar) or ODS (Oncology Data Specialist) required
- RHIA or RHIT (or eligibility) preferred
Education:
- Bachelors degree required
- Masters degree preferred
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with oncology accreditation programs (e.g. breast program standards cancer program standards)
- Strong analytical organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to interpret performance metrics and quality indicators
- Experience with policy and procedure development
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
