Job Summary

TITLE OF POSITION:	Special Education Paraeducator

LOCATION:	Orleans Elementary School

DESCRIPTIVE STATEMENT OF POSITION:	Full-time position working under the direction of the special education and general teaching professionals to support both inclusive and sub-separate programs for children with mild to severe disabilities and academic and behavioral challenges in small group and/or 1:1 settings. Paraeducator is a member of the inclusion and special needs teams responsible for implementing educational plans. Duties also require support for general building activities student arrival dismissal lunch and recess.

QUALIFICATIONS:	Demonstrated prior experience providing support services to students Evidence of high education with coursework specific to Special Education preferred Minimum of a high school diploma college experience preferred especially in the area of Special Education Must be willing to be trained in Crisis Intervention

SALARY:	$24.78 - $27.86 per hour

AVAILABILITY:	FY27 School Year
