About the opportunity

As a senior member of the Student Administration team the Team Leader (Student Fees) will support the Manager with managing the day-to-day operations strategic initiatives and administrative support for a pivotal and multi-functional area of Student Services and Operations which supports the student journey.

Youll lead a team of professional staff within the Student Fees Team who provide service excellence timely advice and support to our students and stakeholders. Youll champion the Student Fees area and will be an important exemplar mentor and support person for your staff. Youll also lead innovative improvement projects and work collaboratively with other members of the wider team to ensure the provision of administrative support is delivered in a student focused timely and professional manner.

What youll do:

  • Coordinate the operational planning and workload for the Universitys student fee collection activities including student payments student fee documentation refunds and remission of student debt fee setting and debtor management.
  • Lead the development of policies and procedures services review and improvement projects across student fees in adherence with legislation.
  • Provide high level administrative support to create a student-centric and collaborative service culture.
  • Lead a high performing team to deliver efficient innovative initiatives contributing towards Universitys strategic goals.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and provide analytical and statistical reports against performance targets.

What were looking for:

  • Knowledge and experience in delivering complex administrative and technical functions with continuous improvement and service excellence.
  • High level negotiation stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills.
  • Project management skills with an ability to analyse review make recommendations and clearly convey complex information ideas and concepts.
  • Experience leading systems and process improvement initiatives and in managing a variety of systems and software within higher education.
  • Previous experience working in student administration or systems setting is highly desirable.
  • Current Australian Drivers Licence.

Salary details

Appointment to this role will be at HEO 7 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $130943 comprising base salary within the range of $101821 to $111917 plus 17% superannuation.
