Job Summary

We are looking for a dynamic ReliefAssistantShopManager tojoin our friendly retail team. This role requires you to cover different Julias House shops across Dorsetduring your working week where you will deputise when the regular Shop Managers or Assistant Shop managers are off. This position will suit someone who is a retail expert who has proven experience of creating a brilliant shopping environment and providing an excellent customer experience.

You will have experience of running a well-presented shop and with an eye for detailand in collaboration with Shop Managers will have the opportunity to showcase your creativity and flair whilst helping to maximise the sales and profits.

You will need to be able to work unsupervised in a methodical and organised manner and be flexible to the needs of the charity. This position is suitable for someone who thrives off variety who is adaptable and enjoys meeting new people.

As well as processing donations engaging with the community and delivering the highest standard of customer service you will be involved in the management of our superstar volunteers.

The ability to plan organise and communicate effectively apply sound judgement and be able to work under pressure are key skills requirements of the role. Excellent people management skills awareness of Health & Safety compliance and a full driving licence are essential.

As a dedicated team player with a strong work ethic working in a busy active and fulfilling environment youll be a part of a vibrant team of individuals dedicated to making a difference to the children and families we support.

A full driving licence and use of a car for business purposes are essential for this role.

This vacancy is for 30hours (4days) per week. Hours will be based on a rota covering shop opening hours (Monday - Sunday).

Julias House is an award-winning childrens hospice charity dedicated to bringing comfort and care to families across the two counties.

Each family we support is unique and so is the care we provide. When a family finds out that their child has a very serious medical condition which is life-limiting or life-threatening their world falls apart. Julias House exists to help these children and their families.
