Senior Quality Engineer

Function

• To ensure that specifications procedures and quality control instructions are fully complied with during processing of components

• To maintain a safe and cordial environment that maintains a continual improvement of all processes

Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop implement and maintain quality standards for processes products and systems.

• Facilitate and where necessary lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes (CAPA).

• Conduct internal audits and facilitate external audits (e.g. ISO IAA customer audits) as required on site..

• Work with engineering manufacturing and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues.

• Develop and analyse quality metrics and present findings to management.

• Review and approve quality documentation including control plans inspection instructions and validation protocols.

• Serve as a subject matter expert in regulatory compliance and industry standards

• Provide training and mentorship as required on Quality Activities..

• Support design control risk management and FMEA activities.

• Lead various Continuous Improvement activities and other Quality Initiatives as deemed necessary by the Compliance Monitoring Manager or local Management team.

• Specific duties may be modified from time to time according to changing business needs or at times of Company restructuring.

• Complying with the organisations safety policy procedures and work instructions. Carrying out tasks safely and in accordance with approved practices. Using equipment tools and protective gear correctly.

• Remaining vigilant for hazards and unsafe conditions. Reporting hazards near misses incidents or deficiencies promptly. Suggesting improvements where possible.

• Being aware of risks associated with their tasks and take steps to minimise them. Stopping work if unsafe conditions arise and escalate the issue to a supervisor/manager. Practicing just culture by being honest about mistakes or concerns.

• Attending safety briefings toolbox talks and training sessions. Actively engaging in drills exercises and safety improvement programs. Providing feedback to supervisors/managers and contributing to building a positive safety culture.

• Following emergency procedures during incidents. Cooperating fully in investigations and audits. Supporting corrective and preventive actions as required.

• Maintaining personal competence through training and refresher courses. Keeping up to date with safety notices updates and operational changes. Encouraging peers to work safely and set a positive example.

Person Specification

• Must be experienced in Quality Management Systems
• Must hold a Level 8 Qualification in relevant discipline
• Must be experienced in engineering processes
• Have a thorough knowledge of business objectives and management processes to achieve excellence in the service of customers

• Possess the necessary interpersonal skills to communicate and work across departments to ensure compliance to standards.

• Planning & and attention to detail skills are essential.

• Excellent organisation skills and discipline to meet specific audit deadlines.
