The Senior Quality Manager is responsible for all activities and personnel in any of the following Quality areas for our Jefferson City TN location: Product Quality Process Improvement Supplier Quality and Manufacturing. Position may involve implementation of quality systems maintaining ISO certifications and compliance and overall quality control and responsibility of various departments at JLG.

YOUR IMPACT

  • May be responsible for continuous improvement of control testing manufacturing assembly processes tracking system cycle-time goals and standard operating procedures; product quality; process control; supplier quality processes; ISO audits; receiving inspections; supplier audits; quality and contract proposals; and other related activities as assigned.

  • Accurately maintain company records and documents in accordance with policies and procedures

  • Work with other quality personnel in obtaining goals of meeting or exceeding customer specification while meeting target costs.

  • Report and chart quality measures.

  • Conduct process capability studies and present results in standardized format.

  • Oversee and assign all product quality deficiency reports.

  • Respond to quality process nonconformance issues in an expedient manner

  • Analyze and implement effective solutions in order to coordinate the resolution of major quality issues.

  • Must exhibit the ability to proactively plan and execute plans in accordance with established time constraints.

  • Coordinate and work inter-functionally with Quality Engineering Contracts Sales and Manufacturing to resolve quality related issues.

  • Create and assist in establishing maintaining and certifying quality guidelines processes and procedures. Promote awareness of procedures and quality systems within the organization.

  • Assign schedule and coordinate quality audits internally and externally.

  • Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal teams to correct and prevent deficiencies.

  • Maintain a positive professional working relationship with all customers.

  • Understand quality contractual requirements related to assigned product types.

  • Participate in or delegate a representative for all quality meetings including the Corrective Action Board Control Testing and Management Review Meetings.

  • May be responsible for development maintenance and continuous improvement of a process improvement training program.

  • Interview supervise appraise and discipline employees. Acknowledge team accomplishments.

  • Responsible for budgeting activities and personnel reviews.

  • Ensure personnel in departments have adequate resources to perform jobs

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree in Quality Business Operations Management or related field

  • Eight (8) or more years of experience within in Quality or a related

STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS

  • Advanced training/experience in the use of statistical techniques including CP/CPK

  • MS Windows Word Excel Project Outlook and MAPICS/Infor XA ERP experience

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • This role combines office-based administrative duties with physical activity in field or production environments.

  • In the office setting tasks may require extended computer use sitting and attending meetings.

  • Field or floor work may involve walking across various terrains or shop floors standing moderate lifting (up to 50 pounds) climbing stairs and exposure to varying temperatures or noise levels.

  • Must be able to shift focus between detailed cognitive work and occasional physical tasks as needed.

Pay Range:

$103300.00 - $177700.00

The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range individual pay is determined by various factors including the scope and responsibilities of the role the candidates experience education and skills as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
