Its a great time to join Applied Materials! The OEM Supplier Account Manager is responsible for managing strategic relationships with assigned suppliers to ensure cost quality and delivery performance aligning with organizational goals. This role involves end-to-end supply chain engagement supplier qualification and risk mitigation for OEM equipment sourcing.
This role can be located at any of these Applied Materials locations:
- Gloucester MA
- Austin TX
- Santa Clara CA
Please know that the role is 100% onsite (no option for remote or hybrid work).
The salary range shown applies to Gloucester and Austin. There is an adjusted range for Santa Clara.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute commodity strategies for OEM Commodities (Electrical Electronics Instrumentation Electro-mechanical) like LV Distribution Panels LV & HV AC/ DC Power Sources Actuators & Sensors Pumps Valves Motors & Motor assembly VAC Robot Components Controllers PCBA Components RF Match Electrical and Electronics components.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with assigned OEM suppliers.
- Measure & track Supplier KPIs covering cost quality Delivery and Lead time.
- Identify alternate sources to mitigate supply risk and ensure continuity.
- Partner with stakeholders and oversee OEM supplier qualification processes including technical capability assessments and compliance with global Standards like IEC IEEE & ANSI NEMA ISA UL CE etc.
- Negotiate commercial terms and contracts with suppliers that provide structure for all business relationships between Applied Materials and the supply base.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to qualify new suppliers and materials meeting cost targets and material specifications.
- Act as the final escalation point for supplier issues and drive resolution
- Evaluate cost structures and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
- Analyze market trends and supplier benchmarks to maintain competitive pricing.
- Aligns and implements commodity strategies.
- Engages new supplier introduction and/or disengagement requirements to/from the Applied Materials supply base.
- Support resolution to systemic supply chain issues affecting quality cost delivery or lead-time.

- Ability to develop strong relationships in a matrixed organization to influence and drive change partnership and collaboration
- Communicate in a clear concise and timely manner (both verbal and written) to operate and collaborate effectively.
- Experience working with people remotely and ability to leverage technology and influence appropriately in a remote and global working environment.
- Experience working on a global scale with a variety of cultures with sound knowledge of logistics & customs regulation (Import/export)
- Demonstrated ability and passion to solve problems with data driven rigorous approach.
- Resourceful with strong work ethics and excellent execution of projects and objectives.
Experience:
- Bachelors Degree in any field of Engineering
- 10 years of Experience in Manufacturing Strategic Sourcing Category management Project Management and/or relevant industry certification(s) preferred
- Practical experience of procurement of equipment from the OEMs.
- 5 years of Leading commercial large-scale negotiation with large scale suppliers.
- Preferred experience working in start-up environment for establishing new supply chain ecosystems targeting domestic India market
- Proficiency working with Excel Word PowerPoint skills SAP and Power BI
- Knowledge of SAP & Ariba RFQ tool is added advantage

NoThe salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location hire grade job-related knowledge skills experience and with consideration of internal equity of our current team addition to a comprehensive benefits package candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program as applicable.
For all sales roles the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
