The new St. Pauls Hospital Project (nSPH) under Providence Health Care is excited to offer a Summer 2026 Biomedical Engineering Technology (BMET) Internship position on our Equipment Planning team for a BMET student!

2 Positions Available
The nSPH Equipment Planning Team will supervise the successful applicant and the student will be assigned various activities involved in the deployment of new equipment throughout the new hospital. Although this position will not be working as a direct part of the Biomedical Engineering team opportunities to work with the BMET team other operational support teams and clinical teams is expected.
General internship activities and experiences may include:
- Planning and execution of deployment of medical and non-medical equipment. This may include unboxing movement of equipment throughout the building.
- Exposure to activation activities as one of the largest new hospital projects in BCs history is prepared for opening day.
- Tours of areas of the new hospital with unique technologies (e.g. medical imaging lab operating rooms).
- Interaction with healthcare professionals.
- Working within a new hospital construction site both pre and post service commencement.
What You Bring
- Student enrollment in a recognized Biomedical Engineering Technology diploma program is preferred.
- Recent graduates of a Biomedical Engineering Technology diploma programs may also be considered (up to 12 months from graduation date).
- Ability to work full-time in health field occupations for the entire duration of this position is required (from June through September 2026 at a minimum).
