The Program Coordinator III is responsible for providing administrative operational and programmatic support services to an assigned program area. The Program Coordinator is knowledgeable about institutional and program policies and procedures and provides support to a large or complex program or to multiple smaller programs.(A Program provides a specific service or carries out specific activities as a separate entity or as a component program within a department but is not a department itself.)
Responsibilities
- Process faculty paperwork which includes appointments promotions terminations and reappointments for full time part time per diem affiliate and voluntary faculty as applicable.
- Responsible for all faculty onboarding from preliminary offer to orientation and medical staff appointment and faculty appointment.
- Responsible for all postdoctoral onboarding.
- In conjunction with the International Personnel office prepares and submits visa applications for faculty postdoctoral fellows and staff.
- Serves as a liaison for internal and external inquiries.
- Reviews and processes staff payroll if needed.
- Responsible for performance appraisal evaluations promotions transfers leave of absences and other personnel transactions.
- Works with the Administrative Manager on position tracking. Submits and transmits information on approved faculty and staff transactions.
- Submits onboarding requests for incoming externs.
- Reviews incoming paperwork for completeness and accuracy.
- Responsible for ensuring that all OPPEs and FPPEs are complete for Psychiatry faculty.
- Assists in special projects acts as department liaison and as informational resource. Generates and distributes reports as required.
- Supports the Administrative Manager and Psychiatry Directors in all department initiatives.
- Assists in monitoring and evaluating effectiveness of processes demonstrates a commitment to improve and support operations and systems streamline work processes and to increase effectiveness and efficiency.
- Assists in employee orientation and probationary tracking.
- Plans directs and coordinates activities of designated project(s) to ensure that goals or objectives of the project are accomplished within prescribed timeframe.
- Prepare and submit purchase orders contracts supplemental pay moonlighting and check requests as necessary.
- Organizes and files faculty and staff records.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree preferred; an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may substitute for the degree when the experiences are closely related to the duties of the job.
5 years experience coordinating and administering program activities for assigned area
Compensation Statement
The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $64526.72 - $81675.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors including experience education and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
