Role Summary: The Patient Care Technician provides hands-on support to patients and clinical staff under the direction of the Registered Nurse. This role focuses on patient transport preparation comfort and safety while also assisting with operating room setup turnover and maintaining a clean organized surgical environment to support efficient daily operations.
Hours: TuesdayFriday schedule; Full-time (30-40 hours/week) No nights weekends holidays or call
What Youll Do:
Assist with patient transport preparation positioning and comfort before and after procedures Support patient transfers and mobility using proper safety techniques Assist with OR room setup turnover and restocking of supplies Prepare equipment and pull cases for scheduled procedures Maintain cleanliness and organization of OR suites equipment and common areas Follow all safety infection control and exposure control protocols Provide courteous respectful and compassionate service to patients families and staff Work collaboratively with nursing anesthesia and surgical teams to support daily case flow Complete required training and perform other duties as assigned
What Youll Bring:
High school diploma or equivalent
BLS certification
Basic computer skills (email Word scheduling systems)
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Strong teamwork reliability and attention to detail
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with patient transfers
Prolonged standing walking bending and reaching
Exposure to clinical environments including infectious materials (Category 1) with appropriate training and PPE
Flexible schedule to meet daily surgery needs
