About the Role

American Stone is hiring a full-time Cashier to support showroom and stone yard operations by assisting customers and processing transactions.

Pay: $16 to $18 per hour

We are looking for a friendly organized and customer-focused individual who enjoys working with people and can manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

As a full-time Cashier you are responsible for assisting customers and processing transactions accurately. You will work primarily in the showroom but may also support yard operations when needed.

Your responsibilities include:

• Greet customers and process sales transactions using point-of-sale and Odoo systems
• Handle cash credit card and account transactions accurately and responsibly
• Maintain a clean organized and professional checkout and showroom area
• Assist customers with basic product questions and direct them to sales or yard staff as needed
• Support sales efforts through basic customer follow-up and administrative tasks
• Coordinate with yard staff to assist with order pickup and loading when needed
• Follow company policies related to customer service cash handling and workplace conduct
• Assist with general organization and other assigned tasks

You take pride in providing excellent customer service and helping keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light lifting
• Basic computer skills including Excel Google Docs or similar systems
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to pass a drug screening
• Prior cash handling or customer service experience preferred but not required
• Strong communication skills with a friendly and professional attitude
• Spanish is a plus
