Job Title: ICC Special Inspector
Compensation: $28-32/hour depending on experience and certifications
Location: Meridian ID
FLSA Exemption: Non-Exempt
Schedule: Full-time hours may vary

What youll be doing:

• Perform structural inspections in accordance with applicable codes and project specifications for concrete masonry steel welding and fireproofing.

• Conduct soil density and concrete testing and report findings accurately.

• Interpret project drawings and specifications to verify compliance with applicable codes and engineer requirements.

• Clearly communicate inspection results and project requirements to Project Managers Contractors Engineers and Testing Technicians.

• Prepare detailed legible inspection reports and maintain project records without ambiguity.

• Maintain certifications and ensure compliance with industry standards and company policy.

• Uphold a professional attitude and appearance while interacting with clients and project stakeholders.

• Turn in timecards and datasheets daily while keeping company vehicles and equipment in proper working order.

What you have:

• High School diploma or equivalent; ability to perform written instructions procedures and calculations.

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in construction inspections materials testing or a related field.

• Strong technical knowledge of construction materials testing procedures and inspection methods.

• Physical ability to perform strenuous tasks including lifting (up to 100 lbs) climbing ladders/scaffolding (up to 100) twisting and crouching.

• Excellent communication skills and professional client-facing presence.

• Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.

• Ability to manage multiple inspection assignments independently with accuracy and timeliness.

Preferred Certification(s):

• ICC Certifications in one or more of the following:

  • Reinforced Concrete

  • Structural Masonry

  • Structural Steel and Welding

  • Spray-Applied Fireproofing

• ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I

• OSHA 10- or 30-Hour Safety Training
