SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR/SIMULATIONS OPERATOR

POSITION OVERVIEW
This position is centered on the operation and administration of the Combined Arms Collective Training Facility III (CFFT III) supporting a broad range of fire support training missions that prepare Soldiers to execute fires tasks with precision and confidence. As a CFFT III Simulation Operator you will manage all aspects of system startup configuration and shutdown developing and loading training scenarios using the Pre-Mission Planner System and ONESAF selecting appropriate terrain databases and establishing realistic environmental conditions to meet specific training objectives. During exercises you will process a wide variety of fire mission types including Artillery and Naval Call-for-Fire Close Air Support Army Attack Aviation Special Operations Forces gunship missions and Unmanned Aerial Vehicle missions while dynamically managing targets observation positions and interoperable system configurations in real time. You will also be responsible for maintaining network integrity across local and wide area networks integrating simulation systems and administering VBS3 databases to support both standalone and distributed training events. Candidates must possess a bachelors degree in any discipline with seven years of military fire support experience preferred a minimum of one year operating the CFFT III and its immersive variants three years of LAN/WAN and immersive simulation maintenance experience one year of VBS3 operations and database administration experience and Security certification obtained within 90 days of contract award.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct start-up and Shut-down procedures for CFFT III.
- Install and assign Subject Matter Expert (SME) as required.
- Load ASTi radio models.
- Develop training scenarios with the Pre-Mission Planner System (PMPS) and ONESAF
- Load applicable training scenario
- Select applicable terrain database
- Assign student Observation Post (OP)
- Initialize CFFT III for either stand alone or *interoperable mode
- Set-up pilot view and give trigger control to the pilot or JTAC
- Add and delete targets/entities while scenario is running
- Create or change observation positions
- Establish environmental conditions: weather wind visibility cloud cover/ceiling height visibility and time of day or night
- Process an Artillery Call-for-Fire
- Process a Naval Call-for-Fire
- Process a Special Operations Forces (SOF) Gunship mission or USMC KC-130J Harvest Hawk
- Process a Close Air Support mission
- Process an Army Attack Aviation Mission
- Process an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Mission
- Operate SME
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- A bachelors degree any discipline. Seven years (7) military experience in Fire Support operations and planning preferred.
- Minimum one year (1) experience supporting training exercise operating the CFFT III. One or more years operating/maintaining an Immersive CFFT III system (AFSM UTM and CASM).
- Three years hands on experience working with local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN) linking virtual simulations.
- Three years of experience maintaining immersive simulations (CFFT2 CFFT III) including system integration network administration consulting analyzing designing installing and/or maintaining computer software applications hardware telecommunications or network infrastructure equipment.
- Security Plus certified and have passed the Computing technology Industry Association (CompTIA) Security or equivalent certification exam within ninety (90) days after Requirement Award. The Contractor shall be responsible for all certifications as well as any and all expenses associated with these certifications.
- Minimum one year (1) experience supporting training exercise operating the VBS3.
- One (1) year experience in VBS3 database administration and in database design and maintenance.
- Active Secret Security Clearance
