Equipment Operator

We are looking for a reliable enthusiastic & hardworking laborer to join our construction team in order to assist in the construction of roads sidewalks and parking lots.

Candidates should be detail oriented and display team spirit. The responsibilities of an Equipment Operator include but are not limited to working with a variety of equipment such as rollers excavators loaders backhoes and forklifts depending on the project requirements. They are expected to perform routine maintenance checks report equipment issues and adhere to safety and environmental regulations at all times. Candidate should be physically fit and be able to work long hours in all weather conditions possible weekend work holiday or night work may be required.

Equipment Operator Responsibilities:

• Maintains and operate heavy equipment to perform excavation tasks as instructed.
• Greases machines on a regular basis.
• Operates different forms of equipment including the backhoe loader skid steer excavator paver etc.
• Checks equipment regularly for malfunctions and reports any issues to the supervisor.
• Daily maintenance of machines including the fuel and grease.
• Performs operational duties in a safe manner.

Equipment Operator Requirements:

• RI or MA Hoisting License
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Reliable transportation to and from work
• Ability to stand for extended hours of time
• Excellent communication and observation skills
• Familiar with use of power and hand tools
• Ability to follow directions
• Must have a strong work ethic

Work Schedule

• Monday thru Friday 6:30am to 3:30pm
• Occasional Weekend/Night work available based on projects
• Most work done in the peak construction season of Spring thru Fall
• Overtime available and based on project schedule or needs

Compensation

• Paid weekly
• $38.00 to $39.00 per hour based on experience and ability
