We have a new position available within our dynamic and growing firm for an Administrative Assistant in our Barrie location. Due to the nature of the work involved in this position the successful applicant will be required to attend the office in person each day.
Barriston is looking for a conscientious person with a strong work ethic and outstanding attention to detail. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling administrative work supporting our Municipal practice area. Strong writing skills good judgment and organizational skills are required.
Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for providing administrative support and maintaining client relationships
- Preparing formatting and editing correspondence and documents
- Making telephone calls and speaking to clients and other parties
- Working independently and as part of a team
- Prioritizing matters while assisting with keeping files organized
- Managing calendar appointments and booking appointments including conference calls and Teams meetings
- Performing administrative work related to files including opening of files preparation of accounts and client billings processing of payments closing files and maintaining spreadsheets and an active filing system
The successful candidate will have 2 years of relevant administrative experience and be proficient in standard office software and equipment. Excellent time management and computer skills are a pre-requisite.
Program specific IT training will be provided through our in-house IT staff as required on an ongoing basis.
