Join our dynamic team at Life Fitness / Hammer Strength as a Quality Engineer where youll play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standard of product and process excellence. Youll drive continuous improvement collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to the creation of industry-leading fitness equipment. As a Quality Engineer youll work with the Quality Manager to develop implement and coordinate product and process quality assurance programs to prevent or eliminate defects in new and existing products.

As a Quality Engineer at Life Fitness / Hammer Strength you will:

• Perform root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action for process product and customer complaint related concerns.
• Assist Quality Manager in maintaining the quality management system.
• Interface with Engineering Purchasing Suppliers and Operations to ensure transfer to production of new products that are in accordance with the approved requirements. (PPAPs Control Plans Cpk studies etc.)
• Create and maintain quality documentation such as quality procedures work instructions control plans reports.
• Act as a change agent to drive continuous improvement of Quality metrics.
• Develop training to build quality awareness.
• Conduct audits including closing out audit findings creating audit finding reports and determining proper corrective and preventive actions.
• Participate as a part of the Material Review Board (MRB) to develop and implement methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material and devises methods to assess cost and responsibility.
• Support the Quality Inspectors to ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the quality management system.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What Life Fitness / Hammer Strength is looking for in our Quality Engineer:

• Bachelors degree from four-year college or university in a related field
• 2-5 years job related experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Strong organizational analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good project management skills
• Strong computer skills with ability to program (Word Excel Power point Microsoft 365 applications)
• Ability to build and improve processes.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints (GD&T) diagrams and specifications
• Experience with general measurement tools and techniques.

Working Conditions:

This role would be a combination of shop floor and office environment. Hearing protection is required on the production floor. Occasionally lift up to 35 lbs.
