This is a full-time remote role based in the United States. Candidates located in the Eastern U.S. are strongly preferred. Some travel will be required.
Make an Impact at WGU
As a Lead Partnership Executive you will play a critical role in advancing WGUs mission by building enterprise-level partnerships that expand access to education and workforce solutions at scale. This role focuses on strategic business development executive engagement and national market growth while shaping how organizations invest in talent development.
What Youll Do
Drive new enterprise partnerships aligned to WGUs mission and strategic priorities
Lead consultative business development with C-suite leaders and national decision-makers
Design innovative proposals campaigns and workforce solutions that address large-scale talent needs
Represent WGU at major industry events conferences and partner councils
Coach and guide Account Executives and Senior Account Executives on enterprise sales best practices
Partner closely with Partner Success teams to ensure smooth handoffs and long-term partner outcomes
Contribute to national pipeline strategy market expansion and development of new verticals
What Youll Bring

Deep understanding of workforce development higher education and talent ecosystems
Proven ability to craft tailored value propositions that deliver measurable ROI
Strong commitment to student-centered outcomes
Bachelors degree
10 years of related experience or 7 years of related experience with a Masters degree
Bonus Points
Prior experience in the higher education sector
Extensive background in acquisition-focused roles
Demonstrated success building partnerships with large organizations (1000 employees)
Proven track record in enterprise sales or strategic partnerships across industries
Established professional network with strong industry credibility
Experience in Lieu of Education
Equivalent relevant experience performing the essential functions of this role may substitute for education requirements. Generally one year of relevant experience may be considered in place of one year of education at the discretion of the hiring manager.

Travel Expectation
This position requires occasional travel of up to 25% including required attendance at designated company summits (typically one to two per year). Additional travel may include conferences visits to company locations and other business-related events as needed. Additional travel may be assigned as needed to support business requirements.
