Job Summary
Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician II performs preventive and corrective maintenance independently ensuring reliable equipment operation. This role provides technical support for production teams and mentors Level 1 technicians.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose troubleshoot and repair mechanical pneumatic and basic electrical systems.
- Execute preventive maintenance (PM) schedules with minimal supervision.
- Support production changeovers setups and calibration activities.
- Maintain detailed repair records parts usage logs and CMMS documentation.
- Identify opportunities for equipment or process improvements.
- Cross-train and maintain working knowledge of multiple systems such as Matrix baggers Yamato scales VideoJet printers conveyors and wash systems.
Required Skills & Experience
- Intermediate troubleshooting skills in mechanical and electrical systems.
- Basic knowledge of PLCs sensors and VFDs.
- Ability to interpret electrical/mechanical schematics.
- Effective communication and coordination with production and QC personnel.
Advancement Criteria
- 90% or higher PM completion rate.
- Demonstrated ability to lead small projects or support system upgrades.
- Proven safety record and ability to mentor junior staff.
- Supervisor and planner recommendation for Level 3 review.
