As part of our commitment to improving the communities in which we operate funds raised by HHR in its management of rental properties and rental assistance programs are reinvested in building and managing more properties expanding our capacity to assist those in housing stress.

The Role

Please note: this role can be based in either South Yarra Prahran Port Melbourne Hampton or Flemington

Youll be responsible for managing a portfolio of brandnew BuildtoRent properties across Melbourne comprising both Market and Affordable Rental homes. BuildtoRent offers a renter only service model allowing you to focus exclusively on building strong positive relationships with residents. With centralised ownership and management your role is streamlined and focused on delivering an excellent renter experience.

Youll be based at your primary workplace with no travel required during the day!

Property maintenance is managed by our parent company CHL allowing you to focus on property management fundamentals while monitoring and tracking maintenance progress. From time to time you may be required to support other Property Managers across different locations as required.

During the leaseup phase youll be supported by dedicated Leasing Consultants with Property Administrators assisting with administrative tasks. Once the site is leased youll manage the portfolio endtoend including advertising entry and exit condition reports routine inspections lease renewals arrears management and all core property management responsibilities.

Some flexibility with working hours will be required during the leaseup phase to ensure new residents are supported through a smooth and positive transition into their homes.

About You

To be successful in this role you will bring the following qualities and experience:

  • A current Victorian Certificate of Registration with previous experience in property management and a sound understanding of Victorian residential tenancy legislation.
  • Proven experience managing arrears bond lodgements and bond processing.
  • Strong endtoend property management capability from advertising and applications through to vacate processes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Our residents are our number one priority and youll work respectfully effectively and sensitively with a diverse customer group.
  • Flexibility with working hours. Well work with you to establish a schedule that supports residents while maintaining a healthy worklife balance.
  • Experience working in a collaborative team environment where support encouragement and shared success are valued.
  • A strong work ethic resilience and a willingness to learn with the ability to follow established processes while adapting in a fastpaced environment.
  • High proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and openness to learning new systems including HHRs custom CRM platform.
  • The ability to prepare clear professional correspondence for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • A current drivers licence.

Please note that a satisfactory police check is required for all staff and those with client related responsibilities are required to undertake a NDIS and Working with Children Check (WWCC).
