Role: Enterprise AWS Cloud Data & AI Architect
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced AWS AI/ML Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable data and AI platforms. This role focuses on building enterprise-grade data ecosystems on AWS enabling advanced analytics and machine learning capabilities across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud & Architecture
- Design and implement scalable AWS-based data and AI/ML architectures
- Lead end-to-end solution design across data analytics and ML platforms
- Define best practices for cloud architecture security and performance optimization
Data Engineering & Big Data
- Architect and manage data lakes data warehouses and analytics pipelines
- Design and optimize ETL/ELT workflows for large-scale data processing
- Work with Big Data technologies such as:
- Hadoop
- Spark
- Hive
- HBase
- NoSQL databases
- Hadoop
AI/ML Platform Enablement
- Enable and support data science and ML teams with scalable infrastructure
- Design platforms for:
- Model training and deployment
- Data preparation and feature engineering
- Model training and deployment
- Integrate AI/ML workflows into enterprise data ecosystems
Data Modeling & Analytics
- Develop and enforce data modeling standards and best practices
- Design data warehouse (DW) schemas and enterprise analytics solutions
- Ensure data quality consistency and governance across platforms
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Lead solution design discussions with business and technical stakeholders
- Drive large-scale data transformation initiatives
- Provide guidance to engineering teams and ensure alignment with business goals
- Support production systems and ensure high availability and reliability
Delivery & Methodology
- Work in Agile environments with cross-functional teams
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions
- Drive continuous improvement in architecture and processes
Required Skills & Experience
Core Requirements
- 15 years of experience in data engineering / analytics
- 8 years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud platform
- Strong expertise in:
- AWS architecture (Data Analytics ML AI)
- Enterprise data platforms and transformation initiatives
- AWS architecture (Data Analytics ML AI)
Technical Skills
- Big Data: Hadoop Spark Hive HBase
- Data Engineering: ETL/ELT pipelines data lakes data warehouses
- Databases: NoSQL and relational systems
- Data Modeling and Data Warehouse design

Required Skills:
Experience (Years): 4-6 Essential Skills: Work with project teams throughout the organization to design implement and manage CDN infrastructure using Akamai to ensure high availability performance and scalability for customer facing applications and business processes. Handle multiple priorities and assignments with excellence and precision. Be a part of a 24/7/365 organization (some after hours support is expected as part of normal on-call rotation). Directly support line of business development teams provide guidance to them on implementation and changes for customer facing applications Develop and maintain security protocols and measures to protect CDN infrastructure from cyber threats. Monitor and analyze network performance identifying and resolving issues to optimize content delivery of critical applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Akamai CDN solutions with existing systems and applications. Collaborate with information security teams to implement DDoS protection strategies and other security measures in the CDN. Provide technical support and guidance to clients and internal teams regarding CDN and security best practices. Work closely with vendor and professional service teams on delivery related activities and strategy. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field. OR similar work experience. Strong understanding of network protocols (HTTP/HTTPS DNS TCP/IP). Proven experience as a CDN Engineer or similar role with a strong focus on -depth knowledge of Content Delivery Network technologies including caching load balancing and content optimization. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Experience supporting 24/7/365 customer facing applications at enterprise scale. Awareness and experience with cybersecurity tools and practices such as firewalls intrusion detection/prevention systems and encryption. Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g. Python Bash) a plus. Relevant certifications (e.g. CISSP CEH) are a plus but not required.
