Job Summary
Senior IFRS 17 Accounting Analyst
The Senior IFRS 17 Accounting Analyst will be responsible for interpreting implementing and maintaining IFRS 17 accounting policies and ensuring accurate and compliant financial reporting. This role requires strong collaboration with IT Actuarial and Finance teams to support endtoend IFRS 17 processes.
Key Responsibilities
Interpret and apply IFRS 17 standards including:
Contractual Service Margin (CSM) calculations Risk Adjustment (RA) Variable Fee Approach (VFA) General Measurement Model (GMM) Premium Allocation Approach (PAA)
Implement and maintain IFRS 17 accounting policies and methodologies.
Collaborate with IT and Actuarial teams to validate data inputs and outputs from the IFRS 17 engine.
Perform detailed financial analysis including variance analysis and reporting for:
Management
Internal stakeholders
External auditors
Conduct data processing reconciliation and validation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Prepare and support IFRS 17related reporting and disclosures.
Work with ERP systems and specialized IFRS 17 tools for accounting and reporting.
Utilize advanced Excel skills for financial modeling analysis and data handling.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong understanding of IFRS 17 standards and insurance accounting principles.
Proven experience working with IFRS 17 reporting analysis or implementation.
Strong data reconciliation and financial analysis skills.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Experience with ERP or financial reporting systems.
Good to Have
Actuarial knowledge or experience working closely with actuarial teams.
