Microsoft Fabric & Power BI Engineer Azure Data Platform
Role Overview
Power BI and Azure Platform Engineer responsible for designing building and managing modern data platforms using Microsoft Fabric and Azure ecosystem services.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
Fabric & Azure Integration
- Design and implement data ingestion pipelines (ETL/ELT) using:
- Fabric Data Factory
- Dataflows Gen2
- Azure Data Factory
Data Modeling & Storage
- Build Lakehouses Data Warehouses and Notebooks
- Use Delta Lake best practices within OneLake
Power BI Enhancement
- Develop high-performance semantic models and reports
- Use DAX and Direct Lake mode
Platform Administration
- Manage: Capacity Workspace settings Security and RBAC Data governance across Microsoft Fabric tenant
Performance & Scaling
- Monitor Spark workloads
- Optimize SQL queries for large datasets
- Improve system performance and scalability
Migration
- Lead migration from legacy systems (Azure Synapse SQL) to Microsoft Fabric
