Raytheon is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Development Lead Systems Engineer to support the StormBreaker program. This role requires a technical leader who will ensure system compliance to contractual requirements facilitate cross-disciplinary integration and drive system-level verification and future growth initiatives. The successful candidate will act as a key technical resource across program efforts collaborating with internal teams leadership and external customers to deliver innovative solutions aligned with program objectives.

What You Will Do

• Ensure system compliance with contractual and program requirements maintaining alignment with customer expectations.

• Coordinate across hardware (HW) software (SW) test and system reliability maintainability logistics and safety to ensure interface integrity and cohesive system design.

• Serve as the key source of system and product knowledge including design performance capabilities and operational considerations.

• Act as a key participant in platform and System-of-Systems (SoS) integration activities.

• Own and oversee the final system verification process including Functional Configuration Audit (FCA) and System Verification Review (SVR).

• Coordinate with the portfolio Lead Systems Engineer (LSE) to identify future growth opportunities address existing design constraints and align on common HW/SW considerations.

• Support regular customer engagements including weekly meetings with customer counterparts as well as briefings with program leadership and Strategic Business Unit (SBU) leadership.

• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to early-career engineers fostering their professional growth and development.

• Support the Production Lead Systems Engineer (LSE) as an alternate ensuring smooth transitions and continuity of program support

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a Bachelors in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 10 years of prior engineering experience.

• Raytheon Level 4 (or higher) Certified Lead Systems Engineer (or currently enrolled)

• Experience leading system development and design requirements development requirements management and verification system integration and test preparation for/transition to production of complex system architectures

Qualifications We Prefer

• An advanced degree in Engineering Science Mathematics or related discipline

• Raytheon Level 3 (or higher) Certified Lead Systems Engineer

• 12 or more years of relevant work experience including prior experience in a technical leadership role and including experience across the development and production lifecycle

• Excellent communication technical writing oral presentation and interpersonal skills

• Experience across the product lifecycle including concept development architecture design integration verification production; as well as with test/support equipment

• Ability to develop effective internal and external customer/stakeholder relationships to ensure customer/stakeholder satisfaction and continued business

The salary range for this role is 132400 USD - 251600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
