Job Summary
7am-3:30pm Monday thru Friday $32-34/hour Public transportation
We are seeking a Maintenance Technician Electrical / Mechanical to join our team. The successful candidate will have experience with both electrical maintenance as well as mechanical maintenance. Candidates must have a strong fundamental understanding of electrical circuits repair and installation. The candidate must also have experience with milling blueprint interpretation design sketching and CNC operation.
Responsibilities:
Mechanical ability:
oMaintain repair and service all presses and equipment on site
oTroubleshoot hydraulic pneumatic and mechanical systems.
oReplace mechanical components as required.
oInstall remove or move equipment as directed.
Electrical ability:
oInterpret electrical diagrams.
oProvide electrical service to equipment and lighting.
oTrouble-shoot and perform electrical repairs to equipment and lighting.
o12-480V electrical troubleshooting and repair skills including servos and electrical press controls.
Machining ability:
oEfficient operation of metal cutting machines to produce and repair parts from samples.
Construction ability:
oPerform new construction and repairs to buildings grounds and equipment using carpentry plumbing and mechanical skills.
Can understand and operate within:
Building Fire and Electrical codes.
O.S.H.A. rules and regulations.
Work closely with outside suppliers contracted to do major mechanical and electrical installations and repairs.
Computer / software - Familiar with word processing and database manager programs.
Record retention and keeping - Possess the ability to maintain a manual record keeping system that documents all maintenance activities.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Personal tools needed to perform qualifications responsibilities and duties.
185 hours of general machine shop or equivalent combination of education/experience.
Must have good command of the English language both written and spoken.
Must be able to create read and interpret drawings and design sketches.
Ability to troubleshoot install maintain and repair a broad range of electrical and electronic systems and equipment using schematics AC/DC systems.
Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machine knowledge.
Competent use of power tools; drill presses lathes and milling machines.
Certified to use forklifts and scissor lifts.
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance with detailed record keeping.
Knowledge and utilization of OSHA lockout / tag out requirements.
Knowledge of PPE used as well as NFPA 70E and how they apply to company and employee safety.
Strong and documentable attention to detail.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) knowledge.
Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machine knowledge.
Education:
Two-year technical degree preferred.
