Sanitation Superintendent

In this leadership role you will oversee sanitation operations across the poultry processing facility support sanitation supervisors and ensure compliance with food safety USDA OSHA and company standards. Your leadership helps maintain a safe sanitary environment that supports consistent highquality production
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee sanitation supervisors and hourly sanitation employees to ensure all sanitation activities are completed safely correctly and on schedule.
- Train coach and develop sanitation staff; plan assign and direct daily work while evaluating performance and administering discipline in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
- Maintain accurate personnel records and ensure consistent communication guidance and support across all sanitation shifts.
- Ensure full compliance with Pilgrims sanitation procedures USDA regulations OSHA requirements and all relevant food safety standards.
- Serve as the primary communication link between the plant and USDA regarding sanitation matters and maintain strong working relationships with chemical suppliers.
- Monitor inventory usage and proper handling of sanitation chemicals and supplies to support efficient operations.
- Assist with managing the sanitation department budget identifying opportunities for cost control and continuous improvement.
- Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the Operations Team.
What Youll Need
- Education: High School Diploma/GED; College Degree in related field required.
- Experience: Must have previous management experience in a food or poultry processing facility including at least one year of directly related experience. Directly related work experience may be used as a yearforyear substitute for the educational requirement.
- Skills: Effective communication both orally and in writing capable of independent decision making must have basic computer knowledge strong organizational skills and acute attention to detail ability to manage multiple priorities and proficient in MS Office software applications.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
