English Instructor

Position Summary:

Central/YUHSG seeks aHigh School English Teacher who will foster strong reading writing and critical thinking skills while creating a supportive engaging classroom environment. This role includes planning and implementing curriculum assessing student progress and collaborating with colleagues administrators and families to support student success.

Position Responsibilities:

• Plan and teach engaging English lessons aligned with curriculum goals
• Create a structured respectful and supportive classroom environment
• Assess student learning through a variety of methods and provide timely feedback
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance performance and progress
• Communicate openly and proactively with students families and colleagues
• Participate in faculty meetings professional development and school events
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and interdisciplinary initiatives
• Model professionalism integrity and a commitment to the schools mission and values

Experience & Educational Background:

• Bachelors degree required Masters degree preferred
• Prior high school teaching experience preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge of subject area content and instructional best practices

• Strong classroom management and organizational skills
• Clear and effective written and verbal communication
• Ability to build positive relationships with students families and colleagues
• Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic school environment
