What you will do:
Design and developenhancementsforcomplex software components of the business application systems utilizing available Mainframe development tools in a fluid environment.
Ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
Monitor application performance identify bottlenecks and optimize COBOL code.
Conduct code reviews to maintain code scalability and efficiency improvements.
Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand financial requirements. Enhance system functionality based on evolving business needs.
Createtechnical-changedocumentationwhile staying compliant and following government regulations.
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
12 - 15 years of experience in software engineering with proven work experience as aCOBOL Developer CICS Developer MVS/JCL DB2 within a financial domain in a mainframe environment.
Experience with lending systems is strongly preferred along with familiarity with financial processes accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
Candidates be detail-oriented analytical and able towork independently.
excellent communication skillsare critical as we collaborate with multi-functional client stakeholders
Daily Experience usingEndevor Software Change Managementused for mainframe applications
Checking out components.
Add/Edit Components.
Compile Components.
Migrate Components.
Create Packages to migrate code to different environments.
Casting Packages.
Verify Packages were installed successfully.
Preference given to those who:
HaveIntertestorExpediterexperience with Batch COBOL and CICS COBOL debugging.
Experience with VSAM files in a mainframe environment.
A background specifically with the student loan industry.
JIRA experience applying daily work hours and daily updates to features and stories for each project.
Experience with SDLC and Agile Methodologies.
