We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Baker to join our team on a full-time basis.
About the Role
As a Baker at Goolwa Bakery you will play a key role in the daily production of a wide range of baked goods. You will be responsible for ensuring consistency quality and efficiency across all baking operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing mixing kneading and baking a variety of breads rolls pastries and specialty products
- Following established recipes and production schedules while maintaining high product standards
- Monitoring oven temperatures and baking times to ensure consistency and quality
- Checking the quality of raw ingredients and finished goods
- Operating and maintaining baking equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment in line with food safety standards
- Managing stock levels rotating ingredients and minimising wastage
- Contributing to new product ideas and continuous improvement of bakery offerings
- Working collaboratively with the team to meet daily production targets
Requirements
- Certificate III in Baking or a related qualification or at least 23 years of relevant work experience
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques fermentation and dough handling
- Ability to work early mornings weekends and in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
- A positive attitude and strong team player mindset
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and hygiene

Required Skills:
Certificate III in Patisserie or equivalent qualification OR minimum 3 years relevant commercial baking experience At least 2 years post-qualification or equivalent industry experience Proven experience in artisan and commercial bread production Strong understanding of dough fermentation baking processes and quality control Ability to work early mornings weekends and under pressure Reliable punctual and able to work independently and as part of a team.
