We are seeking a highly skilled Aeronautical / Industrial Designer with 35 years of experience in aerospace or high-technology product design. The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end design of aeronautical systems and components with a strong focus on aerodynamics structural integrity manufacturability and aesthetics particularly for UAVs aircraft components or advanced defense/aerospace platforms.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conceptualize design and develop aeronautical products and components from concept to production
- Create industrial design concepts with strong emphasis on form function and aerodynamics
- Develop detailed 3D CAD models assemblies and technical drawings
- Collaborate with aerodynamics structures avionics and manufacturing teams
- Perform design optimization considering weight strength thermal behavior and manufacturability
- Conduct DFMEA tolerance analysis and material selection
- Support prototype development testing and design iterations
- Ensure designs comply with aerospace standards safety norms and regulatory requirements
- Document design processes and maintain configuration control
Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Aeronautical Engineering Industrial Design Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- 35 years of relevant experience in aeronautical / aerospace / UAV / advanced engineering products
- Strong understanding of aerodynamics aircraft structures and industrial design principles
- Proficiency in CAD tools such as CATIA SolidWorks NX Fusion 360 or similar
- Experience with composite materials lightweight structures and aerospace-grade materials
- Good knowledge of manufacturing processes (CNC composites additive manufacturing sheet metal)
- Ability to interpret and create GD&T-compliant drawings
PREFERRED SKILLS (GOOD TO HAVE):
- Experience in UAV / Drone / Aerospace defense projects
- Exposure to CFD / FEA tools (ANSYS Abaqus Fluent etc.)
- Knowledge of DO-160 MIL-STD or aerospace certification processes
- Hands-on experience with prototyping and testing
- Strong visual design sense and attention to detail
