Job Summary
Super kind and welcoming European family is looking for an experienced passionate nanny-educator to join them in looking after and bringing up 2 well behaved easy going bright children. Both parents have very full time jobs.
The family has previously lived in the UK and are keen to make sure the children do not lose their English language skills.
Their last nanny was with them for more than 4 years and both sides have been very happy but the role has recently changed towards a more education support focus. The family is looking for a nanny-educator with experience in educating as well as nannying - OR who is degree educated themselves and understands the value of a good education and enjoys supporting the children in their learning as well as being a nurturing nanny to them.
There is travel involved in this position and time will be spent in Italy Spain and France.
The role is live in or live out. The family offers own room and bathroom and will soon be able to offer a separate studio apartment/ annexe.
There are times when you will need to proxy parent over a weekend (both parents travel quite often) but on the flip side you will also get more weeks off work (paid) when the family goes on holiday.
Childcare & logistics
School pick-up (between 12:30 and 14:30 depending on the day) School quite close by.
Accompanying children to sports and activities
Managing daily routine and transitions
Preparing simple meals for children
Keeping childrens areas and belongings organised
Structure & discipline (key expectation)
Maintaining order in childrens daily life
Teaching and reinforcing personal responsibility and discipline
Structuring homework time and study habits
Ensuring consistency and follow-through
Educational support
Supporting youngest child with English curriculum
Encouraging reading writing and vocabulary development
Actively engaging (not passive supervision)
Flexibility requirements
Proxy care: approx. 14 days per year
Babysitting: approx. 1 evening per week
Ability to accept the fluid nature of the role
Travel
Required to travel with the family during:
Summer holidays
Easter holidays
Candidate profile
Highly organised and punctual
Structured and reliable
Able to manage children independently
Calm but firm (able to set boundaries)
Proactive and responsible
Comfortable with a dynamic non-rigid role
Languages Fluent English required French German or Italian would be a strong plus
A nanny-educator who can drive would be best but driving is not essential.
Nanny-educator will be responsible for both children. More work is with the younger child but it is important that the older child also feels supported and included.

Requirements
Fluent English speaking
