Job Summary

Potentia Human Resources is proud to partner with the Central Okanagan Foundation (COF) to recruit a Senior Manager Reaching Home to lead the Reaching Home (RH) program tri-lateral Alignment Project and the Veteran Homelessness Program. With a primary objective of supporting the delivery and administration of Reaching Home and Veteran Homelessness funding in the Central Okanagan the successful candidate will work with partners to advance coordinated access strengthen system functioning and support community-based efforts to prevent and reduce homelessness.

As the Senior Manager RH you will directly support COFs Mission of enhancing quality of life through strong stewardship innovative approaches and active community leadership. Guided by values of collaboration stewardship accountability and community impact this role plays a critical part in advancing sustainable system-level change. For more than four decades the Central Okanagan Foundation has served as a philanthropic leader dedicated to strengthening the region through community investment partnership and responsible stewardship. COF fuels bold philanthropy stronger communities and lasting change.

As the successful candidate you will ensure program integrity comply with funding requirements and will represent COF within senior governance forums implementing a systems wide change management process while maintaining relationships with municipal provincial federal Indigenous and community partners. As a people manager you will provide clear direction coaching and support to your team fostering accountability growth and strong performance aligned with program and organizational priorities. In addition to strong leadership effective system-level coordination will be key to your success in this role as well as providing clear accountability for governance participation funder confidence risk management and the achievement of system outcomes. Additional responsibilities including guiding program priorities interpreting funder direction and ensuring the program is appropriately structured and resourced to meet current and emerging requirements.

SCOPE OF ACCOUNTABILITY

Strategic / Governance Accountability:

Stewards the program in alignment with federal provincial and local governance expectations while representing the organization at key leadership and system forums.

Operational Accountability:

Oversees program delivery resource allocation and risk management to ensure priorities are effectively executed.

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES & OUTCOMES

Alignment Project Leadership

Leads the Alignment Project to advance coordinated access and system alignment ensuring milestones risks and partner collaboration are effectively managed to maintain funder confidence.

Program Stewardship & Compliance

Ensures programs are delivered in full compliance with funding agreements translating requirements into operational direction and mitigating risks to protect funding and credibility.

Audit Readiness & Certification Accountability

Maintains accurate complete and audit-ready documentation certifying all submissions meet funding requirements and responding to audits or reviews as needed.

System & Governance Leadership

Represents the organization across governance forums contributing to decision-making and building strong trust-based relationships with system partners.

Strategic Prioritization & Risk Management

Sets priorities across competing demands proactively identifies risks and implements mitigation strategies to maintain stability and progress.

Funder Partner & Government Relationship Management

Serves as the primary liaison with funders and partners ensuring transparent communication and sustained confidence in program delivery and leadership.

Team Architecture Stabilization

Supports clarity in roles workflows and team structure to optimize capacity and ensure leadership focus is effectively utilized

Indigenous & Equity-Centered System Stewardship

Leads engagement with Indigenous and equity-deserving partners to ensure programs are inclusive culturally responsive and aligned with reconciliation commitments.


Requirements

CAPABILITIES & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Senior program leadership experience in funded or public-sector environments;
  • Relevant degree and/or equivalent experience;
  • Senior systems leadership stakeholder management risk management strategic judgment program and project management budgeting public relations government relations and business management skills;
  • Funder-facing credibility;
  • Governance participation;
  • Balancing multiple perspectives while delivering organizational messages to stakeholders;
  • Conflict resolution and strengths-based approach to relationships.

The ideal candidate is a visionary individual with exceptional leadership skills a collaborative nature unassailable integrity is culturally sensitive and a proven ability to deliver results.

We anticipate offering a base salary in the range of $85000 to $95000 as well as a comprehensive benefits package for this role. This term of this role aligns with the current funding agreement; full time (37.5 hours a week) until March 31 2028.
