Position Overview Delta Workforce is seeking a Marine Technician for a mobile boat repair company based in Southeast Michigan. The role focuses on on-site repairs of boats with emphasis on stern drives outboards AC/DC electrical systems air conditioning generators and diesel/gas engine work. This is a hands-on mobile service position in a small experienced team environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform mobile on-site boat repairs including stern drive and outboard service AC/DC electrical air conditioning generators and engine maintenance
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on marine vessels
Complete routine maintenance such as oil changes and remove-and-replace repairs
Maintain service vehicles and shop areas (cleaning vans sweeping general upkeep)
Participate in daily morning job board meetings typically starting between 8:00 AM and 8:30 AM
Work professionally on customer boats with care and respect
Collaborate with existing technicians on various repair tasks
Requirements
Previous experience as a marine technician or strong mechanical/electrical background (automotive experience considered)
Ability to use diagnostic tools and multimeters correctly
Reliable dependable and able to work independently or as part of a small team
Positive attitude and good interpersonal skills
Valid drivers license and clean driving record
Marine-related certifications (MBIA or Macomb Community College Marine Tech certification) are highly valued but not required
