TheEnvironmental Health and Safety Intern will serve a vital role in EH&S byassistingin the implementation of EH&S plans and procedures in support of theRTX andPratt & Whitney EH&S Program.

What You Will Do:

• Partner with the leadership team and line supervision to ensure EH&S regulatory compliance with Federal State and Local regulations as well as adherence to P&W procedures and RTX EH&S Standard Practices.

• Identify health and safety hazards and implement controls to mitigate risks.

• Assist the EH&S team with tracking the implementation of EH&S initiatives and projects across the organization.

• Gather data on open items from P&W sites regarding Safety Health and Risk Reduction metrics or projects.

• Support the implementation of the Pratt & Whitney EH&S Management System.

• Organize and maintain assigned EH&S policies to achieve and sustain compliance with regulations.

• Participate in the site EH&S Council.

• Conduct safety inspections and analyze audit findings to develop corrective actions and promote safe work practices.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Enrolled in a bachelors degree program in an EH&S discipline or a related field (e.g. Environmental Engineering Industrial Hygiene Biology etc.).

• U.S. citizenship is required as the position may involve access to systems/tools restricted to U.S. citizens.

• Must be willing to commute onsite to Columbus GA five days a week.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Minimum GPA of 3.0.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint).

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and cultural awareness.

• Experience with project execution.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers as they are essential to the development of our engines.

As part of our commitment to maintaining a secure hiring process candidates may be asked to attendselect steps of the interview process in-person at one of our office locations regardless of whether the role is designated as on-site hybrid or remote.

The salary range for this role is 37000 USD - 82000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including but not limited to individual performance business unit performance and/or the companys performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
