Occupational Therapist (OT) Responsibilities

• Provide school-based occupational therapy services to K8 students
• Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and re-evaluations
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and services
• Deliver direct therapy services (individual and small group sessions)
• Support students with:
  • Fine motor skills and handwriting
  • Sensory processing and sensory integration
  • Executive functioning and organization
  • Activities of daily living (ADLs) and classroom participation
• Collaborate with teachers special education staff speech-language pathologists (SLPs) and physical therapists (PTs)
• Recommend and implement classroom accommodations adaptive equipment and assistive technology
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
• Maintain accurate documentation progress notes and compliance records
• Communicate effectively with families and caregivers

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or higher in Occupational Therapy
• Active New Hampshire Occupational Therapist license (or eligibility)
• Experience or interest in pediatrics school-based therapy or special education preferred
• Strong communication organization and collaboration skills
