Strong communication and leadership skills are essential as this role will involve coordinating between different teams and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Operations
- Plan organise and manage daily production schedules to meet output targets.
- Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime and ensure equipment reliability.
- Optimize resource allocation including labor materials and machinery.
Quality Assurance
- Ensure all products meet industry standards and customer specifications.
- Collaborate with quality control teams to implement and maintain quality systems.
- Investigate production issues and implement corrective actions.
Team Leadership
- Supervise train and develop production staff and supervisors.
- Foster a safe productive and positive work environment.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback.
Health Safety & Compliance
- Enforce workplace safety standards and regulatory compliance.
- Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Ensure adherence to environmental and operational regulations.
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency reduce waste and lower costs.
- Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Analyze production data and KPIs to drive decision-making.
Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination
- Work closely with procurement and logistics teams to ensure material availability.
- Monitor inventory levels and reduce excess or shortages.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Manufacturing Operations Management or related field (preferred).
- 2 years of experience in manufacturing preferably in the container packaging or related industry.
- Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
