Job Description
What you will be doing:
Lead the Quality Assurance team in maintaining and improving quality systems procedures and metrics across manufacturing operations.
Ensure ongoing compliance with applicable industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Serve as the primary point of contact for customer and third-party audits corrective actions and product quality issues.
Implement and drive Lean Six Sigma projects to reduce variability defects and non-conformities.
Monitor quality KPIs conduct trend analysis and report results to senior management.
Develop mentor and train quality personnel to enhance team performance and engagement.
Collaborate with Engineering Production Customer Service and Supply Chain to resolve root causes of quality issues using structured problem-solving tools (e.g. 8D DMAIC).
Oversee supplier quality performance and assist in qualification and audit activities.
Champion a culture of Continuous Improvement and operational excellence throughout the facility.
Experience you will need:
Bachelors degree in Engineering Quality or a related technical field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a Quality Manager or similar role within a manufacturing environment.
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification or Lean Practitioner Certification.
Proven track record of leading successful quality initiatives and managing cross-functional teams.
Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (e.g. FMEA SPC CAPA root cause analysis).
Familiarity with APQP PPAP and supplier quality management.
Demonstrated leadership strategic thinking and decision-making abilities.
Working knowledge of SAP or comparable ERP systems (preferred).
Experience using Microsoft SharePoint for document control and collaboration (preferred).
Demonstrated success leading Continuous Improvement initiatives (preferred).
Familiarity with industry-specific standards or compliance requirements (preferred).
