Description


I. Job Summary

Manages the financial performance and productivity of multiple Operating Units. Ensures that Operating Units meet or exceed annual objectives and successfully implement organizational initiatives. Additionally Senior Manager District is responsible for Onboarding Developing Coaching Mentoring and Performance Management of all District Managers.

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Develops and implements an area of responsibility operating plan consistent with accomplishing the long-range established objectives enhancing effectiveness and delineating responsibilities and authority.
Develops direct reports.
Reviews and evaluates performance with an area of responsibility continuingly and establishes proper performance measures.
Develops operating unit budget in a timely manner forecasting financial and human resource needs for future time periods.
Oversees department personnel needs including selecting coaching and training employees and evaluating employee performance. Provides input into termination compensation and promotion decisions.
Organizes and schedules all necessary resources required to accomplish activities.
Attends regularly scheduled Profit and Loss (P&L) reviews and executes prescribed programs on routing equipment utilization equipment maintenance and labor and material costs.
Implements and maintains programs to improve the Areas safety productivity and profitability; Ensures compliance with the Department of Transportation (DOT)/Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) and other Federal and State regulations.
Carrier Management - Actively engages with haulers and operational leadership to ensure service level requirements are met and issues are promptly resolved. Develops and issues regular business reviews for operations and critical haulers. Anticipates risks and works to mitigate potential issues; resolves issues promptly to the benefit of all parties. Assist in developing and executing conflict resolution solutions for transportation and logistics challenges. Implements transportation and logistics solutions that create win-win partnerships with company businesses carriers and end-use customers within area of responsibility.
Collaboration - Works closely with hauling District Managers and post collection managers sharing similar geographic responsibilities to leverage expertise
Support - Works closely with Area and business operations management to ensure service level requirements are met and issues are promptly resolved. Works with an Analyst that provides analytical sourcing contract management and presentation support.

III. Qualifications

A. Required Qualifications

Associates Degree (accredited) or in lieu of degree
High School Diploma GED or equivalent and two (2) years relevant of work experience
5 years of prior work experience (in addition to education requirement) in Operations Management including at least three years managing a team of two or more individuals.

Drivers License

The expected base pay range for this on-site position is $135300 - $206195. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidates relevant experience education training certifications qualifications and work location.

In addition this position is eligible for 30% AIP bonus.
