Senior Mechanical Engineer Las Vegas NV
IMEG is hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Las Vegas NV to lead design efforts as a project manager or lead engineer for moderate to complex projects and help deliver larger high-complexity work with limited support from senior staff. Youll work closely with a team of engineers and consultants to provide project direction engineering solutions and advice to clients to support positive outcomes with a focus on project management engineering analysis design and implementation oversight of mechanical systems for the vertical building industry. Youll also support budget management training and mentoring and cross-functional collaboration to meet project goals and client expectations.
Principal Responsibilities
Lead design efforts for the analysis of HVAC plumbing and fire protection systems
Create detailed designs specifications and calculations using engineering software and tools in accordance with code requirements and IMEG standards
Perform site assessments and develop detailed analysis and technical reports
Gather project requirements and communicate technical information effectively to support client needs
Build and maintain client relationships through professional communication
Perform in-process design reviews of HVAC plumbing and fire protection system design calculations specifications and project correspondence
Implement IMEG quality control processes to ensure engineering designs and solutions meet IMEG quality standards industry standards and client requirements
Provide technical training and mentoring and assist with resolution of field issues with limited support from senior staff
Stay up to date with industry trends emerging technologies and best practices; contribute to research development and innovation efforts
Prioritize safety in all aspects of engineering work by identifying and mitigating potential safety risks associated with mechanical systems
Required Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required
Professional Engineer (PE) License required
7 years of experience minimum required 8 preferred in the building design consulting industry
Advanced proficiency in design techniques tools and concepts involved in the production of technical plans and specifications
Advanced proficiency in technical and analytical skills including proficiency of principles in thermodynamics psychrometrics heat transfer and fluid mechanics relating to mechanical design in HVAC plumbing and fire protection systems
Strong training mentoring and leadership skills
Ability to perform final quality control check in their area of expertise
Ability to sell work and develop client relationships
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Eagerness to adapt to new challenges
Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word Excel and Outlook
Ability to travel up to 20% with occasional overnight stays

State of Nevada Salary Range: $112000 - $170000
Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience knowledge skills and abilities of the applicant.
