Job Summary
A houseman provides heavy-duty cleaning maintenance and support services to maintain the cleanliness and organization of a hotel. Primary duties include moving furniture deep cleaning carpets and common areas pulling linen from checked out guest rooms for housekeeping assisting cleaning rooms when necessary cleaning of hotel public areas disposing of waste handling minor maintenance and setting up event spaces when necessary.

- Hospitality/Hotel Houseman:
- Cleans and disinfects public areas: lobbies hallways elevators and restrooms.
- Supplies Room Attendants with linens and removes dirty laundry.
- Cleans and shampoos carpets rugs and upholstered furniture.
- Polishes furniture and fixtures and cleans walls and baseboards.
- Handles garbage disposal and recycling.
- Delivers amenities (ironing boards extra pillows) to guest rooms.
- Moves heavy furniture for cleaning or special events.
- Maintains exterior areas (parking lot and pool area).
- Cleans and disinfects public areas: lobbies hallways elevators and restrooms.
Requirements
- Qualifications & Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
- Previous experience in housekeeping or maintenance is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Good customer service and communication skills (especially in hotels).
- High school diploma or equivalent
