Job Summary

Adelphi is seeking a 1:1 Registered Nurse (RN) to provide skilled nursing services in a school setting located in Chesapeake Virginia.

The ideal candidate will work closely with school administration to provide skilled nursing services to students in accordance with established guidelines and standards of practice.

Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)

Current active and unrestricted Virginia Registered Nurse (RN) license (or multi-state compact license)

Current CPR/AED for Healthcare Providers (BLS) certification

Minimum 2 years of clinical experience preferably in pediatrics school nursing emergency or public health

Demonstrated clinical competency in school-based healthcare needs including but not limited to:Tracheostomy care Suctioning

Seizure management Gastrostomy tube (G-tube) care Asthma/allergy/oxygen management Diabetes care Catheterization and ostomy care

Responsibilities:

Provide individualized services based on assigned student needs

Comply with IDEA HIPAA and FERPA regulations

Maintain professionalism and ethical conduct

Follow District schedules policies and assigned duties

Notify school personnel of absences

Comply with all required screenings and training

Any other duties as assigned
