Job Summary
Adelphi is seeking a Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing to provide services to students within Public Schools in Johnston County NC. The ideal candidate will deliver specialized instruction and support to students with hearing impairments ensuring access to the curriculum and promoting communication and independence in alignment with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).

Requirements:
Valid North Carolina Teaching License Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
Experience working in a school setting
Experience with instructional technology and assistive hearing devices
Experience providing instruction to students with disabilities
Knowledge of IDEA and special education practices
Responsibilities:
Provide hearing impairment services based on student IEPs.
Deliver direct instruction to support communication and language development.
Utilize assistive technology and hearing devices to support learning.
Conduct student observations screenings and evaluations.
Prepare and submit required evaluation reports and documentation.
Develop and contribute to IEP goals and present levels of performance.
Attend IEP meetings and explain services and evaluation results.
Implement interventions and services outlined in IEPs.
Provide consultation and training to staff and families.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and school personnel.
Maintain accurate service logs and student progress data.
Attend required meetings and comply with district expectations.
