We are looking for a Field Service Engineer. This permanent role is responsible for delivering expert technical support and service to medical imaging customers across the United States. The ideal candidate will ensure the optimal performance reliability and safety of medical imaging equipment through installation calibration troubleshooting maintenance and repair. Operating independently in the field you will uphold OEM specifications and safety regulations while maintaining high standards of service excellence. Your work will directly impact patient care and operational efficiency contributing to the companys engineering advancement and customer satisfaction. You will serve as a trusted technical representative fostering strong customer relationships providing timely updates to leadership and continuously improving processes through innovation and knowledge sharing.
Responsibilities:
- Install inspect calibrate troubleshoot and maintain medical imaging systems in compliance with OEM standards and safety regulations.
- Service medical imaging equipment focused within the United States
- Perform preventive maintenance and advanced-level repairs on electronic mechanical and network components of imaging equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently to minimize downtime and ensure system reliability.
- Represent the company professionally during on-site visits and communicate customer feedback to internal teams.
- Continuously expand technical knowledge and stay current with evolving equipment and service protocols.
- Document new processes procedures and solutions; provide training and support to end users as needed.
- Submit regular project updates insights and performance feedback to management including the Zone Service Director.
- Remain available to respond promptly to technical inquiries and urgent service requests.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support team and organizational objectives.
Requirements

- Bachelors degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
- 37 years of experience in medical imaging engineering with a preference for 3 years of GE MR/CT service experience.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Mechanical aptitude and a proactive solution-oriented mindset with critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication skills including active listening clear verbal and written expression and effective collaboration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel Word Outlook) keyboarding internet research and computer diagnostic tools.
- Experience with database entry management systems and technical documentation.
- Database entry and management.
- Self-starter who can fill "down time" in productive ways
- Valid drivers license proof of safe driving history and ability to pass MVR criminal background check and drug screen.
- Must be 21 or older to operate company vehicles.
- Submit to and successfully complete MVR and criminal background check and drug screen.
- Submit to and pass a medical exam required under Department of Transportation (DOT)
- Ability to pass a medical exam required under DOT regulations and complete on-the-job driver safety training if operating rental or fleet vehicles.
- Regulations and written examination if asked to operate rental trucks or fleet vehicles
- Drivers must comply with on-the-job drivers safety training if asked to operate rental trucks or fleet vehicles.
Physical Demands:
- Frequently bend stoop reach climb kneel twist and perform repetitive motions.
- Occasionally push pull and lift up to 75 lbs.
- Regular use of keyboard phone and documentation tasks; prolonged sitting and standing may be required.
Work Environment:
- Exposure to loud noise levels (not requiring ear protection in some cases).
- Frequent exposure to machinery and equipment in clinical or industrial settings.
- Occasional exposure to hazardous materials (MSDS available).
- Work performed both indoors and outdoors in diverse facility environments.
Travel Requirements:
Up to 50% travel required; flexibility to travel on short notice as needed.
