Director of Finance

As theDirector ofFinanceyou willoversee and manageall matters relatingto thefinancial operation of thisroleyou willoversee and support the accounting teamensure proper adherence to state federal and local regulations as well as partnerwiththe COOSeniorLeadersand management toprovide guidance andensure efficient financial operations. This role reportsdirectlytothe Snowbasin General Mangerand partners heavily with theVice President of Finance and Accountingof centralized services.

This position is full-time onsite at Snowbasin Resort.

What will you be doing

• Partner with COO and LeadershipTeamtoidentifyopportunitiesefficiencies and costsavings
• Supporttheonsiteaccounting team in coordination with centralized accounting services
• Compile and prepare the financial reports ledger reviews and forecasts
• Interpret and analyze monthly financial performance and present to management
• Monitor all revenue and expenses to ensure adherence to GAAPstandards
• Auditfinancial data related toresortoperations and recommend action plans to meet financial objectives
• Ensureappropriateinternalcontrolsareestablishedanddocumented; this includesbut is not limited topurchasing cash handling receipts disbursements and asset management
• Support internal auditing team with auditing processes
• Coordinate capital projects planning resources allocation and providingappropriate ROI
• Coordinate the development of the annual and monthly budget forecasts
• Coordinate with centralized services to ensure propertimelypayment of fees licenses permits taxesetc.
• Serve as a member of the Senior Leadership Team and attend all related meetings
• Approve purchase orders cash transfers manual checksp-card expenses etc.
• Ensurethatall balancesheetaccountsarefullyreconciledandaccuratelyrepresent theassets andliabilitiesof the company.
• Coordinate with centralized services to ensure proper support and coordination for
• treasuryfunctions
• Support Accounting Managerin interviewing hiring training and performance management of accounting team
• Evaluate industry trends and competitive set and provide recommended pricing services operational changes to support the business and financial prospects
• Oversee expense and payment approvals for vendor payments
• Manage expense and reimbursement processes and ensure adherence to processes
• Assistin review and completion of contracts
• Ensure tax filings arecompleteandaccurateandappropriate proceduresare in place toestablishand monitor credit.
• Support onsite IT Operations and coordination with centralized IT services

What do you need to be able to do the job

• Bachelors degree in accounting or finance
• 4 years of Controller experience
• Proficient in Windows based software applications
• Expert skill level with Microsoft Excel
• Ability to analyze interpret andcommunicate complex financial information
• Excellent time management skills
• Exceptional management leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work a flexible scheduleconduciveto the ski industry
